Cooperation for development of domestic machine industry

Konstantin Babkin, President of Rosspetsmash Association (Russian Association of Specialized Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers) took part in the conference on development of domestic production of agricultural machinery. The conference took place at one of the nation's leading universities - Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).

The event was organized by the Rostselmash agricultural equipment company company with the support from the Ministry of industry and Trade of Russia and Rosspetsmash Association. It was also attended by Yevgeny Korchevoi, Director of the Department of agricultural, food and road construction machinery of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Alexander Sapegin, Director of KZ Rostselmash LLC Technical center, and the representatives of MIPT academic staff and students.

During the conference, Konstantin Babkin told about the main trends in the development of agricultural machinery industry and prospects of cooperation between Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Rostselmash company. According to him, it is necessary to pay special attention to the process of interaction between science, production and education.

Rosspetsmash Association is actively engaged in this area, and in 2017, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, established a National Award named after Alexandr Alexandrovich Izhevskiy. The competition is designed to attract new generation of designers to plants. At the first year of the award, all 9 winners received a job offer from Rostselmash company.

Alexander Sapegin informed the participants about Rostselmash innovations.

The representatives of MIPT presented their scientific findings and expressed their interest in further cooperation.

Yevgeny Korchevoi noted that the success of Russian agricultural machinery manufacturers largely owed to effective state support, which also provided the mechanisms for subsidizing the R&D activities.

He stressed that the conference was an important step for further comprehensive interworking between MIPT and Rostselmash. A decision to form a working group of the representatives of the combine plant and MIPT only proved that. A roadmap with specific areas of cooperation is in the pipeline.
